Focus Farm is a hybrid fattening cattle farm located in Sikhio District on an area of over 106 rai. The business process includes selecting and buying calves from farmers, which weigh around 400 kg to breed under the fixed price insurance scheme (this is called a mid-way farming). The farm has made an MOU with the cooperative network of beef cattle. For the breeding process, calves from Focus Farm are fattened to the expected weight at a fast growth rate. When a cow has reached the expected weight, it will be slaughtered and dissected for distribution to both steakhouse customers and general customers. Cows from Focus Farm have good quality meat such as sirloin with large cross-sectional area and high percentage of beef as well as containing a moderate amount of fat. At present, Focus Farm has about 120 rotational fattening cows. Focus Farm has been conducting research and developing breeds with Suranaree University of Technology in order to improve the efficiency of the production of beef cattle to maintain the good quality of meat.
